Carl Skottsberg is well-known in Argentinian botany, and Patagonia has a ”Skottsberg territory” as well as a ”Lago Skottsberg”. On a long expedition in 1908-09, Skottsberg and 3 fellow Swedes rode from San Carlos de Bariloche all the way to Tierra del Fuego, through 2000 km of pure wilderness.
