Meehania hongliniana and Paraphlomis shunchangensis var. pubicarpa, a new species and new variety of Lamiaceae, from eastern China are described with illustrations. Meehania hongliniana is morphologically similar to M. faberi, but differs in having stems dimorphic, both sterile stems and fertile stems higher, bracts nearly ovate, larger, 8‒17 mm long, with petioles 3‒15 mm long, and calyxes 1.5‒1.8 cm long. Paraphlomis shunchangensis var. pubicarpa differs from the autonomous variety in having verticillasters 4‒12-flowered, filaments and corolla outside sparsely pubescent, ovaries pubescent and nutlets apex densely short-hirsute.
