One new species and two new records of Pyrus (Rosaceae) from Iran

One new species of section Pashia namely Pyrus cordifolia and two new records including P. tamamschianae (section Pyrus), and P. theodorovii var. latifolia (section Argyromalon) are reported for the Flora of Iran. These taxa are compared with their closest relatives. Photographs and distribution map of these taxa as well as illustration of the new species are presented. Moreover, identification key of the members of section Pashia is provided.
