Primulina rubella sp. nov. (Gesneriaceae) from limestone area in Guangdong, China

Yang, Lihua; Ning, zu; Kang, MingA new species of Primulina (Gesneriaceae) from limestone area in southern China, P. rubella L.H. Yang & M. Kang, is described and illustrated. Its morphological distinctiveness from P. lijiangensis and the relationship to P. qingyuanensis are discussed. The conservation status of P. rubella is assessed as Critically Endangered (CR) according to IUCN Red List Category and Criteria.
