Salvia lagochila sp. nov. (Lamiaceae) from Yunnan, China

WANG, Tao; Wang, Long; ZHANG, LiA new species, Salvia lagochila T. Wang & L. Wang sp. nov. (Lamiaceae) is described from Shangri-La County in the northwest of Yunnan province, China. The diagnostic morphological characteristics from closely similar species are discussed. The nutlet micro-morphologies was examined using the scanning electron microscopy, and the leaf anatomic structures were studied using light microscope. The new species is included in Subg. Salvia sect. Eurysphace subsect. Perennes on the basis of its perennial herb, entire upper lip and arcuate connectives.
