Spiradiclis quanzhouensis (Rubiaceae): a new species from limestone area in Guangxi, China

Liu, Jing; Pan, Bo; Li, Shu-Wan; Xu, Wei-BinSpiradiclis quanzhouensis, a new species of Rubiaceae from northeastern Guangxi, China is described and illustrated. It is similar to S. umbelliformis, but can be distinguished from the latter by habit rosulate, stems subglabrous, leave blades pubescent on both surfaces, stipules undivided or sometimes bifid apical of about 1/3, lanceolate, purple-pubescent, inflorescence 2–4 flowers, calyx lobes lanceolate, 4–5 mm long, outside purple-pubescent, corolla salverform, outside light purple-pubescent. Ovary semi-inferior. Capsules light purple-pubescent, persistent calyx lobes 5-6 mm, in fruit 2 × as long as capsule.
