Boyce is described and illustrated from Karst limestone in Kelantan as the first recorded Peninsular Malaysian species of the hitherto wholly Bornean Alocasia princeps complex, within which A. farisii most closely resembles SW Sarawak limestone-obligated Alocasia reversa N. E. Br.
