The lectotypification of Ipomoea fimbriosepala, I. horsfalliae, I. marcellia, I. subincana and I. tenera are proposed herein. In addition, we suggest to change one name, from I. tubata to I. sidifolia. Ipomoea sidifolia has been shown to predate I. tubata and must replace it.
