A Systematic Revision of the Genus Teucrium (Lamiaceae) in Egypt

Faried, Ahmed; Fayed, Abdel-Aziz; Zareh, MomenCritical taxonomic revision of the genus Teucrium (Lamiaceae) in Egypt is carried out. It reveals the presence of five species including two subspecies and four varieties. The four new status and combinations Teucrium leucocladum var. leucocladum, T. leucocladum var. glandulosum, T. jordanicum var. jordanicum and T. jordanicum var. sinaicum are formed. The latter varieties in addition to T. polium subsp. capitatum are added for the first time to the flora of the country. A key, annotated enumeration of species, distribution are also provided.
