New Subject Editor in Mycology

We would like to welcome Dr Masoomeh Ghobad-Nejhad on board the NJB editorial board as subject editor in mycology! Masoomeh is based at the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens. She is a mycologist with a keen interest in taxonomy and its links to morphology, molecular identification, phylogeny, eDNA, character evolution, nomenclature, and applied systematics. Her research utilizes an integrative approach to species identification, with an interest in bridging taxonomy with other disciplines. Massomeh has described new taxa from various parts of the world in both hemispheres, and provided a number of annotated and vouchered species checklists for the Caucasus Biodiversity Hotspot as well as for Iran’s macrobasidiomycetes. She is currently also involved in a whole-genome sequencing project targeting types at K-M.
